My parents, both in their 70s (one vaxxed, one unvaxxed), got Covid and were prescribed Paxlovid. Neither took it. My dad (vaxxed) was back to normal within 4 days. My mom (unvaxxed) was back to normal within 7 days.
OTOH, I've heard multiple anecdotes from friends' whose parents/relatives took Paxlovid and gotten rebound Covid after 5-6 days, effectively prolonging their illness by 7+ days.

i took paxlovid and tested negative after 4 days. a few days later i tested positive again and had really mild symptoms for a couple days, which i was told was the immune system fighting off the leftover rna of the virus that is unable to replicate anymore or something
didnt have any real side effects apart from the funky mouth taste that eating peanut butter fixed but i heard its hard on the kidneys idk
by the time you have bad symptoms (if) its too late to start taking it

have no idea about that drug but i when i had covid i was achy as hell and could barely move for maybe 36 hours but then got better pretty quickly.
i did seem to get some sort of "long covid" though, which i thought was complete flame before
