The new ones are much closer to the mcdonalds crispy battered tempura style nuggets than the old soft ones. But they still have a thinner coating that is tighter to the meat. I prefer this. The mcdonalds ones have too much of a shell of batter on them. They are less soft than the wendy's ones now too.
