basically nothing because most of the people who aren't working wouldn't be able to do anything particularly useful. it isn't like there's some great shortage of unskilled manual labor, much of our employment is already essentially jobs programs to keep people sane
the problem isn't people not working, it's that our entire society is structured around work/wages and we don't have an answer for ever decreasing demand for labor
