Dodging them shrewdly results in riveting Eastern gameplay as good as any stealth experience. Of course westerners will just say “walking simulator.”
If they kill you they leave a Permanent Crater on the map.

The beginning throws you into a world full of jargon and strange phenomena (BTs, Timefall, BBs, DOOMs, Repatriates, etc.) with minimal initial explanation. It's as if Kojima wants me to feel as lost and isolated as Sam Bridges does.
This game was not meant for mouse + keyboard though. I fell off a cliff and damaged my BB and had to console (haha) it with a bizarre and convoluted keystroke. |
