Lets see...
Homophobia - In Persona 5, there's a scene where gay couples sexually assaults one of the characters. No, I am not kidding, developers seriously thought that adding that scene and playing it off as a joke. Sure, they changed it in Royal edition, but it's even worse because the scene is still homophobic (The gay couples now wants to forcefully make one of the characters learn about Queer culture) but now it has plausible deniability, meaning Atlus can get away with blatant homophobia. Also, you could also count all the Queerbaiting (Because Atlus was fully damn aware of what they were doing when making Kanji and Naoto dungeons and scenes with their shadow but did that anyway) they did in Persona 4, I am bringing it here because there isn't a better spot to place it
Transphobia - It's not about Naoto, actually. Sure, there's a lot of Queerbaiting and the fact Atlus was fully aware they were baiting us, but it's actually for better than Naoto isn't trans. Why ? Because Atlus is just incapable of writting Transgender people in any way good. Whenever it's Persona 3, Catherine or any other example, everytime a transgender person appears, it's to either be a part of very transphobic joke or to be demonised to oblivion. Those people just can't comprehend that they can write transgender character without demonising us and making their community send literal death threats to transgender people (This actually happened by the way)
Sexism and Misogyny - Just play Catherine. That's all I can say, the entire fucking game is based around sexist and misogynistic line of thinking that just... Fuck, this games makes me want to vomit. Or just look at other female character, like Ann from Persona 5 who's treated as typical bimbo even thought her friend and I think Ann herself were victims of sexual assault
Ableism - There's a character in Persona 5 called Futaba, She's very anxious, shutted in and probally autistic girl who's suffering lifelong trauma. How the game treats her ? As somebody who's apparently not trying hard enough and has to be forcefully throwed into public places. That's just disgusting
Conservatism - Where do I fucking start... With Persona 4 of course and its brilliant message of: "It's ok to be yourself... As long as you conform to society expectations". No shit, what you are seeing isn't characters being themselves or changing for better, they all just give up and conform to society expectations. I can say from my own experience that the actuall change for better and being yourself comes from actually realising who you are and then fighting against whatever society wants you to become instead
And then we have Persona 5, a game all about "Youth's Rebellion" and those ostracised from society. Except not really, because entire game is just one long conservative propaganda: There's no rebellion against anything, Phantom Thieves are actively making sure status quo continues by simply removing the bad apples, allowing the same oppresive and discrimnatory system to continue. And Those ostracised from society ? Why, Atlus decided to demonise all of the minorities it showed to hit the bigotry quota, of course
