Had a case come up recently that had some really weird fact patterns, and I needed help. 11 days ago, I sent my old boss an email asking if I could have a little of his time to discuss the case. He would have been the perfect person to help me on this one, just answering a few questions. No response. Luckily I since settled the case. Today, he sends me some bitchy response about how December is his busiest month, that I am well trained to handle matters like this, and that if I still need help he can take a short call after 6pm on several days this week. Sure he finally "offered to help" but it was a shitty response and intentionally way too late (I told him in the email when my trial date was, which was literally today, which makes this response even shittier).

Really steaming over this. Also another senior partner who I was on good terms with, who repeatedly checked in on me since I left the firm and offered to help if I ever needed it, also ignored several of my voicemails and emails for assistance.

Sucks to be alone out there, getting dicked by people you trusted and did a lot for yourself.
