Personally, I think Dino Crisis is overall a better game, but I also don't really think the two games are that comparable - Dino Crisis is a 3rd person survival horror title with a strong emphasis on resource management and Turok is a 1st person game with a heavy combat focus.
Sure, they both have dinosaurs and a time travel element (although the time travel stuff is much more explicit on Dino Crisis), Turok is closer to the much more combat focused Dino Crisis 2, but even then they aren't two games that I would normally speak of in the same breath. |

If you want story, then Dino Crisis is your game. If you want crazy shooting action then Turok is your game. Dino Crisis does a great job with atmosphere and setting but I think Turok has better raptor models. The sickle claw of the raptors in Turok is better seen than in Dino Crisis. I've been playing them back and forth the past few days, so I can see the detail pretty well. Weapon variety is better in Turok, but multi use utility from the shotgun is great in Dino Crisis. |
