My prediction since the Ukrainian offensive last summer failed is that this war will end with an ambiguous result in which Russia has the Donbas and maybe Kharkiv but not Odessa or Kiev.

The fact that Ukraine took a year to mobilize 25-27 year olds and even now doesn't seem in any huge hurry to train them suggests that they have reached the same calculation and are just trying to make Russia's capture of eastern Ukraine as slow and costly as possible.

Disagree. A general in Ukrainian intelligence (who was obviously speaking with permission in a formal interview) said he thought Russia would continue to make slow gains in the Donbas and that the parties would start to seriously negotiate in late 2025.

Ukrainians will get tired of winters with no heating or electricity and Russia will get tired of spending huge amounts of money and lives on the war when there aren't any achievable juicy targets left.

Plus, Trump will likely win and he'll be pushing hard for a deal.

Interesting how does this serve central bankers? If bankers want forever wars why didn't they just let afghanistan continue?

the withdrawal substantially took place under Biden

Are you saying that all-powerful central bankers failed to control two successive presidencies?

the military delayed the withdrawal until biden so that he could take credit for it, but the decision for withdrawal was made under trump

trump's 2016 win was not predicted by the central bank owners, but he was pretty quickly skinsuited within the presidency itself except for his general pacifism. biden has had moderate to severe dementia for years now.

you're a normie retard, btw

I thought bankers control everything so why couldn't they control a policy process stretching across two presidencies and like 4 years?

the presidency has significant discretion when it comes to foreign policy as the commander in chief. the bankers were ultimately fine shifting from afghanistan to ukraine, a war that started a mere 6 months after "withdrawal"

go back to reading wapo and NYT, brother, this isn't in your wheelhouse

Oh ok so the bankers actually gave discretion to Biden to choose when and where wars happen and where hundreds of billions get spent. That's really generous of them

I'm just trying to understand why one perfectly good forever war was discarded for another. SO far you've said it was

a) Trump's choice, a loose cannon

b) the DOD's choice (so not under bank control?)

c) Biden's choice, because it's within his discretion as POTUSSY

d) but actually not Biden's choice, because he's an empty suit

1. the president has wide lassitude on foreign policy

2. orange retard wasn't supposed to be president but became it

3. he was rapidly skinsuited on domestic policy as mcconnell, paul ryan, etc wouldn't play ball, plus the 10/10 level of media hysteria and the various fake trump investigations

4. trump refused to start new wars and decided to pull out of afghanistan

5. dementia joe is fully skinsuited and doesn't think for himself

6. he was installed with the promise he would do whatever he was told

7. again, this is and will always be beyond your wheelhouse, so i recommend you stick to NYT and wapo

Ok but if Biden was "fully skinsuited" why didn't he just cancel Afghanistan withdrawal? Isn't that a lot easier than ginning up a completely new war?

afghanistan had been going on for 20 years, war on terror had lost its muster long ago, much easier to raise huge taxpayer $$ to scam with new hype hysteria

Oh so we're spending more on Ukraine than Afghanistan?

Also if Ukraine war is superior to Afghanistan, then why was it a renegade act for Trump to withdraw? Shouldn't have this been part of the bankers' plan all along?

its about the same but ramping up further

$2 trillion spent on afghanistan over 20 years: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/12/09/world/middleeast/afghanistan-war-cost.html . that's $100 bil a year on average

$175 billion spent on ukraine so far in 2 years, $61.3 billion in april "largest yet":

https://www.cfr.org/article/how-much-us-aid-going-ukraine

please go back to reddit -- this is a waste of my time and i'm ending it here

Russia is going to murder every single Ukrainian at the rate of approx ~1500 per day. Over 1 million are already dead. Another million are crippled. They all are going to die. Every single one.
