A lot of the smaller museums on the continent have more interesting regional-specific collections with rarities the big museums don't have.
Brits find tons of buried stuff as well. Some is interesting and important; most isn't. Interestingly, hoards in the UK are reported up through the local coroner... it makes sense, but it's strange from a US perspective. |
