One’s a stay-at-home mom and the other’s currently unemployed, so they have a lot of time to text and prefer that over a quick phone call. I don’t always keep up, so when I miss something that’s meant for me, they get kinda mad. I finally told them I’d rather they text me separately since I can’t keep up with all those messages. I think they were hurt by it, but idk, AITA?

personally i just ignore the family group texts but make sure to periodically post a gif or meme every few days to make it seem like i'm paying attention. seems to work pretty well
