There is literally an extra person on the ice. - However, if she has an abortion on the ice, then no, it was never a person. - In the case of an intentional miscarriage on the ice, personhood of the fetus and the legitimacy of the penalty may depend on jurisdiction. - Otherwise, any penalty could be held in potentia until the time of a live birth, in which case the results of the game could be litigated. |
