He has said initially it cut his audience in half but now the show is bigger than ever (probably in part due to all the Spotify controversies).
Wouldn't surprise me if he didn't renew when it came back up, but I think you can make the argument that the deal has actually been GREAT for him because there's a good chance Apple or Youtube would've pulled him or de-monetized him. |
