but if you end up at like NYU or UCLA (and not for in-state financial reasons) or some shit you really had no business applying to Harvard. how are you gonna get in when there are 10 better candidates from your own high school |

The only real way to ensure you're going to have very successful alums is to accept mostly kids of the very rich, and Harvard hasn't done that for a while. |

I don't think there was. If Harvard went strictly on IQ tests (let's say a combo of grades and standardized) it wouldn't be Harvard. |
