You don't see straight up jugs of MILK in those countries. People also aren't eating a lot of cream products. You only see those products marketed towards kids, who benefit from the higher calcium. Asians in general don't get enough calcium, which is why the women are all hunched over when they get old. They only get calcium from fish bones, like those little dried minnows they sprinkle in their food. |

Anyway I'm talking about men specifically. I also know for a FACT you can order coffee without milk in VN, and I even know how to say it in vietnamese. I beleive you have to specify sua da in Vietnam, otherwise default is black. They don't assume you want it sugary. In Indonesia it's the opposite: they assume you want sugar but no one even thinks to add milk. |
