I even heard multiple CNN pundits this morning discussing if this case was prosecuted too aggressively by Bragg (given that he had run his campaign on this), or possibly from too much pressure from the Democrat party (lol), and Elie Hoenig (former SD NY prosecutor) said that they had never tied a federal crime into a falisfied documents case ever and that maybe this was too much of stretch |

Apparently Trump chumped him on his annual bonus that year. Trump had paid him $150K in previous years as a bonus. In the year when Cohen had to scramble to try to get his $130K paid back, Trump paid it back but then what -- factored that in as a *payment* when he only allocated a bonus of $50K?
Seems really chintzy all things considered. I can see why Cohen would be pissed but still obviously dont steal. |

If Cohen was willing and able to lie to Trump to steal from him it's reasonable to think he might have falsified records without Trump's knowledge to steal more from Trump and/or cover Cohen's own crimes. |
