An interesting development here is that Ek claims Rogan made the decision to take down the episodes himself. He also claims Spotify is not the publisher, merely exclusive license holders.
This is significant because he is implying that Spotify has no control over The JRE podcast. They signed a deal saying Joe can say whatever he wants. Joe has all the masters and can upload them whenever he feels like it. Spotify does not approve of the content before it is published as they are not the publisher.
Would love to hear Joe explain why he took his episodes down even a 3 hour convo where he said nigger one time. The rest of this screed is Ek trying to placate all the socialist scumbags who work for him. |
