I'm not talking about flame "double majoring" where they only add a few more credits, but colleges where you have to complete two degree requirements and only the gen eds overlap.

What the fuck was the point of this? Lots of people did it at the engineering school I went to. The marginal utility of the second degree is almost zero.

Sometimes, parts of the degree requirements do overlap. Both may require the same math classes, for example. And there were some electives that could count for both majors.

At my UG it wasn't that hard to get one degree in math and one in an engineering field or economics or something if you were careful about picking the right classes.
