No one actually watches the games (this is true for every sport now except the NFL). The NBA just started a huge new TV deal so it doesn’t even matter that the ratings suck. The money has been booked for like a decade.
I do think there is something to the bubble theory though. A lot of owners have gotten out recently…Cuban, the Buss Family, the Timberwolves guy, etc. Seems like people in the know sense the franchise values are peaking. |
