and we were talking about the "film" of a person's life could be infinitely varied in each of those multiverses and some brilliant person said that it was more likely that while the multiverse could be infinitely varied, the number of different films could be finite.

I asked how that could be and the explanation was that two universes with only the slightest difference of one atom somewhere in a remote galaxy might not have any effect at all on the scale of a video of someone's life in each of those universes.

Woah. That's really a profound thought with some pretty significant consequences.
