Remember getting hours of “homework” in MS and HS?

in junior high i organized a ring of students who would divide up the homework every night and then copy each other's work once complete. saved soooooo much cumulative time overall |

Date: May 22nd, 2025 3:48 AM Author: ataraxic it was gay but it wasn't really the volume wrt time that was the problem. language homework for example could be done thoughtlessly in front of the tv and math was usually easy. and it could be pleasant to be assigned a good novel or history reading and if i didn't like it i'd just blow that kind of thing off. for an intelligent kid the biggest issue is the absolutely retarded geriatric tyrant women who would force you to do tedious tasks and "projects" with zero pedagogical value, because their own mental constraints prevented them from ever understanding what it means to learn. they just equated education with busy work. these would be time consuming but the real punishment was that they were the mental equivalent of being forced to go to times square on new years eve with a full bladder. you would spend the whole exercise in boredom and mental discomfort, just waiting for it to end.
