yes. if you get arrested you can just shout OBJECTION (US Criminal Code § 3412.B) and the cop legally has to call in to headquarters to see if they have a guy high enough rank on shift to overrule your objection to being "taken in"
as a freemason they need a guy of lieutenant rank or higher to detain me but for cowans or non-jews they only need a ssgt in most prefectures iirc
this comes from old anglo-norman common law. difficult but rewarding part of a law school education
