i think every army officer (and some marine officers) i've ever met has gone to ranger school, and i've never heard rangers talk about how difficult ranger school was. |

ROP/RASP II has been something of a gentleman’s course, and every officer and NCO has to go through RASP II again every time they get promoted. Regiment is filled with privates who have passed RASP I, but they can’t get promoted into an actual leadership role until they pass RS (I think they max out at E-4). Everyone who passed RASP I but not RS will tell you RASP is the real guy check. Everyone who has passed RS but didn’t got to regiment will tell you RS is the more meaningful challenge. |
