The powers that be have enjoyed a (basically) uniform voice in the media for generations, and it has been the single most important tool the powers that be in the US have had in maintaining control of the US population. The people in charge allow little spats over policy, like abortion or guns (things that don't matter, at all), but enjoyed a uniform voice on major issues in all media.
For an example of how powerful this tool is (was), look at the Iraq war in 2002. After the media blitz, in 2002 something like 80%+ Americans were in favor of going to war with Iraq. What about? Who knows, it seems crazy today. The powers that be used the media to shape public opinion, and they got what they wanted (easily).
The internet is destroying that uniform voice. That's the issue, that's the problem the ruling regime has. All of these issues, from the Canadian Truckers, to Joe Rogan, to Tucker Carlson (sort of), to Twitter, are based in the fact that there are growing political factions and ideas that are seem to be listened to by millions of people that are spreading ideas that are contrary to what the ruling people want.
A country is a group of people sharing common ideas (or ideals). Through all of the diversity/ immigration nonsense, there are defining ideals of the US that have prevailed since at least the 1960's (individual autonomy above all, white guilt, aggressive foreign policy and military interventionism, pro-Israel, etc. etc. etc. The internet allows people outside of the ruling elite to spread different ideas and people are afraid as to what happens when the ruling elite no longer has the ability to control what 80%+ of the country believes. This especially true in a place like the USA, that has a long history and tradition of armed rebellion (immigrate millions of foreigners all you want, the flaw here is that the tens of millions of AMERICANS are not leaving - you see how afraid the government in DC is of actual Americans).
Summary: Joe Rogan, and what he is saying, is not the issue, the fact that he's saying wrongthink and reaching millions of people is the issue.
