you mean the greed of 50%+ of the workforce working from home and being constantly coddled by terrified executive leadership?

No. I mean CEOs taking advantage of people who were laid off during covid by raising prices, all while making millions of dollars. We can't let CEOs get away with this.

Hundreds of millions of dollars. Meanwhile, these CEOs are not paying their employees a living wage and are gouging persons of color

productivity is down which means we need more people to accomplish the same tasks which means cost per unit increases which is what inflation is

Yup every business in America has the market power to casually jack up prices whenever they’re feeling greedy.

Not like the feds gave *$8,000* of cash to every family of four last year, regardless of employment status

this is clear. look at rental cars. rental companies sold their fleets in mid 2020, they had no cars, and rental cars went from $20/day to $150/day.

rental car companies realized people were willing to pay $150/day for rentals. so instead of buying more rental cars, they just decided to keep doing what they were doing and charge $150/day for rentals.

the new normal.

And people ask if there's going to be a recession. The market for car rentals at $150/day is much smaller than $20/day. So while SOME people will occasionally pay that, the reality is that if they keep that model they'll end up closing most locations, fire most people working there. Then that will trickle down through the economy to more crap.
