Date: February 11th, 2022 10:53 AM Author: Hideous histrionic philosopher-king this is what i don't get. they've got a ton of pressure to do something about inflation, but the main problem is the supply chain and hiking rates is just going to make that worse. this could be disastrous. on the other hand if they do it slowly and steadily the idea is that they're on top of it before it gets really out of hand without causing too much disruption. in a year or two the supply chain resolves itself and we're sitting at 2% or something that's not too terrible. but what if that 2% drags out the supply chain issues another year or two? they're in a really tough spot. but the politicians can't afford to wait out the supply chain issues.
