Most people on here who poast aren't really all that smart or subtle.

That said, and I realize you don't understand this, there's a difference between attending a school as an undergrad and attending a particular graduate program. I would never attend UMT as an undergrad. (They have a fine "Davidson college" for really smart and good students that works at a higher level, but the majority of students are not especially academically inclined. Good kids just not heavy on the books.) I attended a graduate program in an art field, which is always going to be idiosyncratic. the program itself was at the time, one of the top 5 or so in the country. I paid no tuition. I also received scholarship money from a bequest left by Richard Hugo the poet. I also had a teaching gig offered that paid something as well. In light of the package and my interest, and where I was at that moment in life, it was the right decision for me. I hope this helps.

I told CXII on board that he had no choice but to change accounts and I would even give him one of my spares for free, just give me a throwaway email and a login/password will appear in his inbox. Once his IRL name became common knowledge it was only a matter of time before someone emailed the media, the obvious move was to go pumo on his old account and start over. He refused to do it despite being told this multiple times and look what it got him.
Everybody wants it to be a known quantity but it could easily be some anonymous pume, quotemo, or lurker. We'll never know unless the journalist gets hacked or burns their source or something. |
