The preps and jocks who he was invisible to in his youth don’t care about his modest success, and even to other scum losers he comes off as weird and desperate. What really terrifies people like you is the thought that goodness, consistency, and quiet resilience might actually win. That you could spend a life flinging bile into the void and still lose to someone who didn't stoop to your level.
