we're all sisyphus. the best you could do is to have enough distractions around you to numb you from the pain of the weight of the boulder. otherwise you inevitably don’t care but to stop and let it roll over you.

and if only it were that easy for us to end the pain. that's our unique curse – for us, to stop and give up is just to endure the pain even longer. summoning the energy to end it is just as much a task as summoning the energy to fix it. to be ensnared in the pain of this world is to have to endure it indefinitely. to have the will to get oneself out of it is never to have been in pain in the first place.
