The middle is the glue that holds the upper and lower classes together and provides a sort of conscience or heart for the other two orders of a society It's disappearance isn't just a disaster for class relations but a dire sign that upheaval is on its way in a society with high information access like our own. Trying to restore it should be an economic priority for TPTB imo |
