This piece critiques the optimistic writers who continue to champion Donald Trump as a populist force, arguing that they fail to see his capitulation to global financial elites. It warns against blind cheerleading for Trump’s 2025 presidency which is set to advance a globalist agenda cloaked in the rhetoric of populism without actually fulfilling meaningful populist promises. To be clear, the purpose of this post is not to turn a reader anti-Trump, but rather to set very low expectations for the next four years and, ultimately, advocates not to cheerlead for a party or a man but to hold these people to higher standards. “Facilius decipere dulcedine quam dolore” is Latin for “It is easier to deceive with sweetness than with pain.”

Sorry to nitpick but “Akshully” is spelled “AAAAACKSHUALLLLLY” per the TBF Screed Style Guide.

My counterpoint would be, if you are one of the only populist candidates to get elected in quite some time, and even then your first term was sabotaged by hoaxes, lies, political prosecutions, 24/7 negative media coverage, etc. Then you lose the next election, probably due to fraud, plandemic, and previously mentioned attacks, do you think you can make it back to the presidency without at least paying lip service to certain powerful entities?
If Trump wasn't absolutely over the top pro-Israel on the campaign trail, how much more effective would the Nazi attack angle have been? And what would those powerful entities have done to oppose him? It remains to be seen how much of an America first populist he really is, but you can't survive as a politician by being a 100% transparent idealist, you have to get elected.
