My parents are rich boomers (doctor/dentist/lawyer types) who raked it in flyover and inherited a few million (probably 3-4 mil in today's dollars). They literally spend all they have and have never passed on anything on to their kids after paying for college. Would guess their net worth is 10-12 mil.
They are very fucked up (like most boomers) and take pride in having bigger homes and more stuff than their kids. But the one thing that really gnaws at them is that I made something like 3 mil in crypto after taking a large bet in ~2017. They cannot stand that I made this money (after mocking me for the investment). Even more, it drives them insane that i still drive a shitty car, don't own a house, and am still rich.
