I am just trying to provide a good foundation for my nephew's gaming skills. Granted, I'm biased af because I love badass, violent Genesis/32X games. But there are plenty of good shoot-em-ups and other titles which are difficult af without graphic violence. SNES chugs when basically anything is in motion. Genesis framerates are impeccable. Later gens have their charms but honestly they all have fatal flaws. PS1 Classic eviscerated the PS1's legacy. N64 has very few games. PS5 has no games. Xbox has even fewer games. PC has expensive RAM. The best gamers I know refined their skills with badass western-developed games (and far eastern shoot em ups).
