Rent stabilization in NYC has sub-inflation rent increases set by a politicized board. It does not allow resetting rent levels upon vacancy. It does not give credit for necessary repairs upon vacancy.
What is legally called "rent control" in NYC as opposed to rent stabilization only covers a few thousand apartments anymore so it is not really relevant. |

Minsk is much nicer.. but all of east euro real estate is way overpriced. They have population decline too yet prices for similar Apts more expensive than spain by the beach.
