OK but I think this is concept has been around for millenia and is strictly rejected by church teachings. I guess if you're going to go outside the church and profess a different religion but this is not Christianity, this is not Trinitarian theology. He is proposing a non-Christian worldview which is fine if that's what he wants to do. I'm not sure how philosophically interesting or relevant it is to propose a gnostic religion but I guess if he enjoys mulling it over. Seems like there ought to be more to it than hypothetically if God contains all he also contains evil. Lot of words he used to explain something pretty simple, the academic value of which is highly questionable. |

I think it's fair to say that if your passionate interest is philosophy and you care a lot about morality then it is a fair question to ask and explore and devote your time and effort to.
There's a really good professor whose old lectures are on YouTube. Look up Michael Sugrue. This guy summarizes the philosophies of most of the historically famous philosophers in one hour lectures. He tackles tough intellectual and moral questions through the lens of various philosophers throughout history who also asked these questions. I think he does a really good job of communicating and explaining complex topics. Unlike Consuela, he taught at Princeton. I think we already have some pretty strong tentpoles in the humanities to go to for life's big questions. |
