But there's a lot of fishy stuff that's gone on over the past couple years, ever since the nationwide Adderall shortage ended. My doctor has told me every month since then that none of his other patients have had trouble getting it. Pharmacists have lied to my face, making excuses for why they contradict each other about whether the medication is in stock or whether my Rx is filled. I've only gotten it for a handful of months over the past three years despite trying every month. I've tried a lot of different pharmacies. They all say they don't have it in stock and don't know when they will.
I've heard, though not verified, that you can get flagged for something as simple as accidentally trying to fill your meds a few days early. But, putting on my tin foil hat for a second, I honestly think there's a chance it's politically motivated. I'm nobody, but I can think of a few reasons I could've ended up on a short list. I swear I'm not schizo. I've been vocal about Israel and I've volunteered for self-described "radical" political candidates. If sabotaging people by limiting their access to medications is a thing that's done – and I'm not sure that it is – it's not totally outlandish that I would be a victim of it. |

Also, I've been on Adderall since 2012, living in this city since 2014, and never had an issue getting it until the past few years.
