Retrial at least somewhat embarrassing for the state to put this community through. If you're the DA you offer her to plead to manslaughter. This might be better for her. Serve your time and get out. Don't have to live in a mental hospital forever. That's what I think will happen. State gets some justice. Lindsay isn't committed for life. She ultimately serves less than 10 years imo. |

If there's just a couple holdouts when Friday comes around they might cave. The court will prolong deliberates as long as they can in the hopes of not doing another long ass trial.
I don't think the DAs think they are putting the community through anything unjustifable. Almost all of them believe they are righteous and if the community disagrees that makes them want secure a guilty verdict even more to prove they're right. |
