Wife has 103 fever and Covid. Thanksgiving ruined

I’d like to try and fly with just me and the kids but leaving her home alone for Thanksgiving didn’t go over well either.

Probably can’t really leave her unless you cut the trip short - is it a short flight or cross country with a connection? FaceTime them and view it as found time. |

It took way way way too long to get through to them and even then it’s only resulted in maybe 1x more visit a year. Also now they treat their dogs like literal children and can’t stomach leaving them in fancy hotel boarding for 2 days. Bear in mind that this is the same generation that 2 decades ago insisted the dogs stay outside 18 hours a day and caged the other 6.
