New or used? What are you buying it for?
Cayman is a ripoff new and the new Corvette model is a lot nicer than the outgoing one.
Even the Cayman S is going to be much slower and more expensive to keep up. If you're buying as a track toy I'd go Corvette all day every day.
If you're buying for prestige, Cayman won't impress anyone since it's not a 911. Corvette will impress baby boomer doods and prole chicks.
If you're into tuning/modding the Corvette will be cheaper and easier to get big power out of.

Cayman.
Corvettes are for people who wear rolex subs and loudly exclaim how much their suit costs like GOB on AD

951 is nice man. They're hard to find in good shape these days since they were unloved and cheap for a while.
How tall/fat are you? The Elise is TINY and you need to be pretty twinkish to fit in one. Seems like they are easy to total, see a lot of salvage ones out there. I'm guessing they're fragile and the body/suspension parts are very expensive.
If you have another car to DD it could be fun. Do you live in a city? Seems like it would only be worthwhile if you can hit some backroads or the track regularly. I saw a dude driving one around Chicago swerving around every tiny pothole looking really pissed.
They are supposed to be great drivers cars though. Also gets a ton of attention since they look exotic, which can be a plus or minus depending on your personality.
The drivetrain is all standard FWD Toyota stuff just flipped around so shouldn't be too expensive to maintain mechanically.
I'd go for it if you can get good use out of it. If you don't like it, wouldn't be that hard to flip for a small loss.

some common problems all the porsches i test drove had:
suspension issues
head gasket/cylinder
oil pan
i never had any of these kinds of problems with my mustang. and my mustang had literally 130,000+ miles. some of the porsches i test drove had less than 50,000 miles and still had multiple issues
tmf, ima cop a corvette and smoke your ass nigga

I'd 100% go Corvette. Porsche is for someone who dgaf about money. It is a pure luxury. If you're even looking at the Cayman then that's not you. The new Vette is a better car with a sub 3 second 0-60. It is a ton of fun and great performance for the same or less money.
The only other people that buy Caymans are people looking to get into the Porsche crowd. Ffs, don't be that guy.
EDIT: Also, if you MUST get a German car the BMW M2 is also a serious contender in that price range and a better value than the Cayman. But honestly, despite a BMW owner I still think the Corvette is the better car.

one of the caymans i test drove had a blown cv joint and i told the guy i want 1k off the price he offered and he said he'd think about it. 53,000 miles
called some shops and it costs 700 to fix so i wouldnt be down that much
thinking about pulling the trigger

Also, watching vids on YouTube should make anyone immediately realize the Corvette is the right choice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvTzcNtaSLU
