Gays dont want to be put under a microscope or "celebrated" by non-gays or whatever weird Amerikkkan devil shit has been going on, they just want to be gay and do gay things and have gay enclaves to themselves, and this is acceptable and fits neatly into the machinery of a more ideal overarching social framework. A culture that has historically defined itself as an alternative to mainstream hetero life fails and falters when brought directly into the spotlight and ceases to be a reserve fountain of refreshment when called upon by more central cultural interests |
