The two who were around my age were from a family where both of the parents were both successful MDs. My mom was friends with the mom. Even with AA and all that, the parents were probably 120+IQ.
The kids did fairly poorly in school and the parents eventually pulled them out, alleging racism after the fact. (Not in a lawsuit or anything, just what they told their friends about why they did it). No major behavioral issues. Just struggled to keep up. Probably 100 IQ in a school where almost everyone else was 115+ and the average was probably 125.
Both kids ended up going to shit UGs, even with AA.
Not sure what one is up to now, but I'm friends with one on LinkedIn and he has some fake government job probably making $100k.
Moral of the story is that regression-to-the-mean pwnage is especially brutal for UMC blacks. And this story here was basically best case scenario.

Both parents also MDs -- but far less prestigious MDs than the black family.
Both of the kids went to (lower) ivies and became MDs. |
