Mandatory weekends - at least 3 full-day weekend days per month Management style is very top down, communication only comes in the form of email (no talking with you, no working with you) and nonverbal communication is limited to a looks falling along the spectrum from outright scorn to abject disgust No bonuses No raises Available 24-hours a day even when not in the office Grumpy lawyer without a book second-guessing you and running around saying things like “I need to look at that” and “I’ll let you know” 5 days of vacation per year, but you get called and are expected to work and record some hours while on vacation Business development activities discouraged Business outlook is relatively positive, all things considered, but highly dependent on one key person |

Take in $2000 a week and you're just about there, if you keep your overhead low. You don't have to be CSLG to do that. And you would have a good cushion while you got started. We have to wear full PPE for these trips. Hard hat, gloves, fire retardant clothing, steel toed boots. When I get on site i frequently find that these guys got started with a 9-month program at the community college, then just kept working their way up, and now make as much as I do. |
