2) discriminatory, as mandates require some employees to meet a higher standard of "immunity" than others.

Look at UK data. Prior infection alone is about 65% effective against reinfection. But basically if you get a big dose of delta, especially if your infection was a long time ago, you will get reinfected (probably).
Had OG, then got delta. Second time around is very mild almost universally (moreso than vax).
Twice infected are likely super immune too, but no data on that yet. I don’t know of anyone who got delta twice, for example. |

It takes time for your body to ramp up production of antibodies to produce a sufficient amount to wipe out a virus, even if your body already has the perfect antibody on file. As Drunkard noted, these reinfections cause very mild to nonexistent symptoms.
The difference with covid is that we are running a bazillion tests, which are actually identifying reinfections, and neurotic people are noticing very mild symptoms that we would barely care about during simpler times. |
