i only watched season 1 of the show
just watched the last 3 minutes of the series, seemed whatever
its considered one of the best endings

I don’t think it’s regarded as a great ending. Nobody really says the ending sucks, but I think it’s considered great.
Great show though. Just doesn’t have a great ending because it’s about life which doesn’t have neat endings.

thats revisionist. in real time the show lost "golden era" status prior to last few seasons. And when Breaking Bad ended around the same time, xo joked about how pissed Weiner must be that no one even talked about MM anymore.
MM has enjoyed a little revival, but it went from "Sopranos, Wire, Mad Men" to not being mentioned at all
All I remember specifically about the ending, as it was awaited, was that everyone was expecting Don to commit suicide, specifically by jumping like the opening sequence.
