Date: May 2nd, 2024 8:41 AM Author: Harsh primrose crackhouse First off, SHOCKING how much worse Brussels has gotten. Feels like being in North Africa, fucking EVERYONE is muslim, the city is lost. The DMB show was pretty 18000, it’s been 20+ years since I last saw them. The new songs were as expected a great time to grab a beer. LMAO at how much cheaper drinks at a concert are here (3-5€ vs like $18 in the US). Was also a very small venue and it was overall 10x better experience than going to a show at home. They played a lot of old stuff including relative rarity Drive In, Drive Out and they played my fav DMB tune, Warehouse. Didn’t make much of a night out of it, my buddy got so hammered he had to leave before the concert ended to puke and he’s already back in Paris getting screamed at by his wife.
Was a weird experience because last time I saw DMB the crowd was 18-30 and now 20 years later it’s the same band, same crowd but Dave is almost 60 and we’re all old. I’d seen 60’s acts with old fans, but first time growing up with a band. We are all old as fuck. The band was staying at my hotel, ran into Dave in the lobby this AM and told him great show. Headed to the train station shortly to get back to Paris and RAAAAGE! Overall: Soo CR! Would attend again. |
