Why don't property inspectors market that everyone needs a "house check up" every 2 years. Then they charge $200 for some guy to walk around and just say "the smell in that basement makes me think you might have mold - let's do further testing" "oh we have new heat loss tools available now - we're checking your house for weak spots" "oh wow your dryer vent looks like it hasn't been serviced in years you need to do that."
Even stuff like radon, chinese lumber, polybutylene piping - there's new stuff all the time which might not have been noted in the original inspection.

You can also send a check" and make it look like some type of official document from a bank or some government agency. A 90yo might call them and fall for this type of low level scam.
