The actual story seemed retarded because the villain was named "X-Death," but afaik the name sounds less dumb in Japanese.
8, I could not just sit down and play for a long time, I made myself play during The Coronavirus on the Switch port with 3x speed. It was still tedious af Drawing magic. And some of the bosses still took forever despite my min-maxing by not leveling and Drawing tons of shit. I guess you're supposed to play the card game and get OP or something. But FF7 you could just play flat-out and basically not even grind iirc. FF8's story felt like it was barely there or just wasn't interesting. Internet Losers like the whole Laguna thing but idk I think the "flashback to the main character's dad's adventure" thing was done better in FFX.
Also 1 is really good for its day, never got far on NES but did it on emulator, it's pretty fucking good for an NES game. 2-3 basically Don't Exist, I'm not playing that shit. |
