career services blows. they will lie to you with a straight face. but, if you are in the top third and you have an OK personality, then you're OK for biglaw. if you're in the top half, it's possible if you're lucky.
general technology services are so-so. the internet doesn't really work all the time (probably works 80%-90% of the time). the way you print off your laptop is retarded.
fordham is also in a weird part of manhattan. it's not really that much fun to live right by the school (it's a wasteland of highrises) so a lot of people live on the UWS (20 min commute) or scattered around the city. if you don't live in the dorms, it's hard to meet people.
everyone went to cornell or upenn. there's a lot of ex-frat guys/sorority girls, and they're keeping that tradition alive by going to cheesy clubs and bars. that's not really my scene, so i don't hang out with them a lot, but if that's what you like you'll fit right in.
one thing that really bothered me was that there's almost no support for 1L summer. it's pretty hard to get a paying job, and it's really hard to get money from fordham. mostly it seems like they make you fend for yourself, and for some students this means forsaking legal work that summer, which probably fucks them over for OCI.
my locker is not in the bathroom, but i still hate the location.
the girls who work at the deli across the street are the biggest bitches ever. the guys who work there are pretty cool. |

Making distinctions between whether she threw a beverage at a librarian with a JD or just a part-time desk clerk only heightens the sense that the coffee thrower and the applauding library crowd (and thereby the entire Fordham law student body) has the same hot-shit attitude.
With all that said, this whole incident is hilarious and no one should be expelled. A stern talking to and maybe a forced apology is in line. |
