why can't the moderators out the loser who wrote the YLS faculty

I'm pro first amendment as much as anyone else, but the first amendment is about preventing the gov't from restricting speech, not about preventing moderators from restricting speech in their own chatrooms. why not just out this guy and be done with it? this poor girl has no recourse, and it seems unfair. can't something be done for her? RepDefender turned 1 bad thread about Heide (which predated me being on xoxo by a few months) into a wild crusade against a stupid but entertaining contest and against xoxo in general. this resulted in her being pwned. sad but true.

Note the very first piece of advice: How to handle cyberbullying -- If they don't get a rise out of you, they'll probably stop. So ignore it and especially don't retaliate.
-- Contact the police if someone threatens you.
-- Block the communications. For example, if someone is posting nasty comments on your MySpace profile page, remove the person from your Friend List and delete the comments.
-- Don't post or send information that others could use against you.
-- Save the evidence, and try to figure out who the cyberbully is.
-- Ask the bully to stop.
-- Send the material the cyberbully has posted to his or her parents and ask them to make him or her stop.
-- Report bullies to the Web site, Internet service provider or cell phone company.
