The sad thing is that her self-image problems are almost certainly not going to be fixed by the surgery. I would just hope she doesn't become a plastic surgery addict, because that road is downright nasty. |

Pale skin is usually only attractive if the person has a perfect complexion (AKA smooth, milky white skin.) Also women with thin lips get collagen implants so their lips are fuller. 1. Genetic "averageness" of features. This is why "composite" images of hundreds of faces are attractive. 2. Similarity of features to one's own. This is why many couples look like brother and sister. 3. The society's "cultural ideal".
#1 favors a medium skin color, #2 depends on what type of man a woman is trying to attract, and #3 favors Caucasian-ish body types and features but is neutral on skin color. So, all else being neutral, white women will be perceived as being more attractive if they tan, because #1 is the only factor exerting a directional push on skin color. |
